In The News: Voices 4 Casey ‘Launch the Bird’ towards the 2025 election

Volunteers across Casey got together at Micawber Tavern (Belgrave) last Thursday to kick off efforts for the 'Listening Campaign'. We cut the ribbon, and "launched the bird" after a mixer with both OG members and fresh faces. The bird, being an obnoxiously large DIY cardboard Lyrebird, created by Kristen & Vicky for the night. It seemed somewhat difficult to wrangle this monstrosity throughout the venue space, trying not to peck into any of the lively discussions.

Our President Ani Wierenga caught up with local journalist Callum Ludwig at Star Mail about the event.
