Warburton Sunday Conversations in the Pub

Join us for a Conversation in the Pub on Sunday 7 July with a small group of friendly locals. You will get to share your thoughts about what's important to you, political representation and what could be done better, followed by a short introduction to the exciting plan Voices for Casey have developed in the lead up to the 2025 Federal Election.

Drop by the Alpine Hotel anytime from 3pm onwards to grab a drink and a bite to eat before we kick off the conversation at 3.30pm. Check out the menu for the Alpine here.

The conversation will take the format of a Kitchen Table Conversation. Kitchen Table Conversations (KTCs) are a model of civic engagement that revolves around one simple idea: that engaging people in open and honest dialogue, like what has happened around kitchen tables for centuries, has the power to create real change.

KTCs were originally developed in the 1990s by Mary Crooks AO, Executive Director of the Victorian Women’s Trust, alongside a small group of concerned citizens in Victoria. Since then, it’s gone on to make waves all over Australia — most famously as the model employed by Voices for Indi to mount a campaign for the election of Cathy McGowan in 2013.

KTCs are a cornerstone of the Voices for Casey community listening campaign - join us this Sunday to take part in a KTC and get the run down on what the listening campaign is all about!
